Established in 1978, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Hunan Sub-council is a provincial foreign economic organization which consists of representative experts, enterprises and associations of Hunan economic and trade sector. With the approval of Hunan Provincial Civil Affairs Department, it started to adopt a separate name—China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) Hunan Chamber of Commerce, in 1988. The aims of CCPIT Hunan Sub-council are to operate and promote foreign trade, use foreign investment, promote the internationalization of Hunan enterprises, and drive international economic and technological cooperation, in line with law and government policies of the People’s Republic of China.

CCPIT Hunan comprises 14 branches respectively in each city of Hunan and totally 200 commissioners in the province. CCOIC Hunan has more than one thousand member companies which cover various industries.

Main Responsibilities: 

1. To focus on the economic and social development of Hunan Province.

2. To work as bridges linking home and abroad, enterprises and government, and enterprises themselves.

3. To develop international liaison services, international exhibition services, international economic and trade information services, international economic and trade legal services, international training services and international economic and trade agency services.

4. To promote foreign trade and utilization of foreign investment; to promote the introduction of advanced technologies and facilities.

5. To boost Chinese and foreign economic and technological cooperation and exchanges in various forms.
