The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) recently released a list of Belt and Road geological indication products for promotion on its official website, as an outcome of the Belt and Road Intellectual Property Cooperation (BRIPC) Promotion Program for Geological Indications. The program was initiated by the 3rd Belt and Road High-level Conference on Intellectual Property.
A total of 151 geological indication (GI) products made the list, including 99 products from China.
Hunan has four GI products on the list, namely, Anhua Dark Tea, Zhangjiajie Berry Tea, Yongfeng Chili Paste, and Sangzhi White Tea.
The listed GI products are also promoted in both English and Chinese on the BRIPC website.
