Miao People Make Traditional Food in Mayang

Shefan is a special delicacy made by Miao and Tujia people in western Hunan every spring. It is a traditional streamed food made of sweet wormwood, green onion, glutinous rice, preserved meat, and other vegetables. In the past, Miao and Tujia people made and ate Shefan to pray for a safe and sound year, a bumper harvest, and a peaceful family.
