Xu Guangda

Born in November 19,1908 in Changsha, Hunan Province and died June 3, 1969.

General Xu Guangda served as the PLA Armored Forces Commander and the Vice Minister of the Defense Ministry. Xu Guangda was conferred the rank of army general in 1955.

In September 1955, Premier Zhou Enlai conferred the certificate of army general to Xu Guangda (1st, L) and others.

In December 1953, the Armored Corps held its first ceremony to present awards to those who have made meritorious service was held in Beijing. Zhu De (2nd L, F), Xu Guangda (3rd R, F), Gan Siqi (1st R, F) with meritorious servicemen.
