The Xiangya Hospital of Central South University announced on September 7 that it has fully opened its weekend outpatient services as of September 1. Regular, expert, VIP, and international medical clinics are now routinely available on Saturdays and Sundays, sparing patients the need to take time off for medical visits.

The upgraded weekend schedule adheres to the principle of "ensuring maximum availability without sacrificing quality," fully aligning with weekday care standards. In September, 35 medical specialties across the hospital are offering weekend services, averaging 146 outpatient sessions per day. Notably, physicians with senior professional title accounted for 62.9% of weekend clinic schedules, ensuring that patients can easily consult with experienced specialists on weekends.

Unlike before when only consultations were available, Xiangya Hospital now provides full diagnostic and support services on weekends. Currently, auxiliary departments including Pharmacy, Laboratory, Ultrasound Imaging, and Radiology operate on weekends. Inpatient wards also process admissions and discharges as usual. This enables one-stop services including weekend consultations, examinations, lab tests, medication dispensing, and hospitalization, saving patients from the hassle of making multiple trips.

Weekend clinic hours are consistent with weekday schedules: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Patients can book appointments using the same channels as weekdays, either in advance via the hospital's official WeChat account or in person at the hospital's on-site service windows.
