"By the end of last year, we had basically achieved the manufacturing and delivery of domestically produced aircraft. The 'stranglehold' problems constraining our core technologies have been largely resolved," He Meng, deputy general manager of Starair Aircraft Co., Ltd., said in an interview. As the 12th Global Forum for Hunan Entrepreneurs is about to open in Hengyang, the company will continue to take root in Hunan, remain committed to R&D and innovation, let its products speak, and let time prove their value, so that "Hunan-made" aircraft can "fly" to the global market.

He Meng introduced that in the early years, more than 200 parts and components of the "Aurora" aircraft produced by the company relied on imports. "We were constrained at every turn," he said. Through sustained investment, rounds of testing, and repeated trial and error, the company now has achieved self-reliance. The "Aurora" has obtained airworthiness certification from countries such as the United States and Australia.

"The pioneering Hunan spirit has always inspired us to pursue our dreams," He Meng said, noting that Hunan, as the country's first pilot province for comprehensive low-altitude airspace management reform, is at the forefront in airspace opening, flight approval, and general aviation infrastructure construction. Zhuzhou is the country's only research and manufacturing base for small and medium-sized aero engines, with a solid industrial foundation. All of these give the company even greater confidence in taking root in Hunan.
