The renowned South Korean culture and tourism publication Culture & Tourism published a special feature on Zhangjiajie in its 10th issue of 2026, titled "A Stroll Through the Mysteries of Zhangjiajie, China." Through a combination of text and images, the feature presented the natural scenery and cultural heritage of this world natural heritage site to South Korean readers.
Focusing on Zhangjiajie's peak forest landscape, the feature highlighted classic scenic spots such as Huangshizhai, Tianzi Mountain, Yuanjiajie, Golden Whip Stream, Huanglong Cave, and Baofeng Lake, showcasing the unique natural wonder of "three thousand spectacular peaks and eight hundred scenic waters." The article also introduced distinctive folk customs such as the Tujia Daliuzi (percussion ensemble) and Maogusi dance, providing travel guidance for South Korean visitors.
For a long time, Zhangjiajie has been a favorite destination among South Korean tourists, and South Korea is also Zhangjiajie's primary overseas visitor source market. This year, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park has received over 200,000 South Korean tourist arrivals. The special feature will further expand Zhangjiajie's influence in the South Korean cultural and tourism market, promote people-to-people cultural and tourism exchanges between China and South Korea, and continue to strengthen the brand image of the Greater Zhangjiajie International Tourism Area.
