The countdown to the FIFA World Cup 2026 co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, is underway. Recently, under the supervision of Shaoshan Customs Authority, 252,000 officially licensed World Cup-related plastic toys were shipped from the Xiangtan Comprehensive Bonded Zone for export to the United States and Mexico.

This batch of exported plastic toys features the mascots of the World Cup 2026—Maple the Moose, Zayu the Jaguar, and Clutch the Bald Eagle, including rotating ornaments, hanging figurines, and mascot figurines. A spokesperson from the Sunny & Sandy (Hunan) Group Limited, the exporting company, explained that China-chic aesthetic elements have been integrated into the mascot products, utilizing a multi-color, multi-material integrated injection molding process. Since the beginning of this year, the company's officially licensed World Cup products have been exported to many countries and regions worldwide, with some products sold on the domestic market.

Taking the "Enterprise Service Year" as an opportunity, the Shaoshan Customs Authority has made efforts to help enterprises in the comprehensive bonded zone seize the opportunities of the sports event economy. It set up a dedicated window for appointment-based customs clearance services. Enterprises can enter relevant information in advance to ensure outbound goods to be quickly inspected and released, achieving "zero delay" and "zero waiting" for customs clearance. At the same time, the customs authority has guided enterprises to establish their processing ledgers for pilot VAT general taxpayer status, thereby benefiting from input VAT deductions on domestic raw material purchases and flexible taxation on domestic sales, effectively reducing their tax burden.

According to customs statistics, during the January-April period this year, Xiangtan exported toys worth 223 million CNY, soaring 455.5% year on year.
