Recently, a South Korean travel agency hosted a dinner event in Zhangjiajie to promote China-South Korea Tourism Exchange, which also featured a South Korean Comedy Show. The event was packed with guests and featured a lively atmosphere. Attendees included relevant leaders from the Zhangjiajie Tourism Group, the head of the South Korean travel agency, as well as the general manager and the deputy general manager of the South Korean travel agency Zhangjiajie Branch. They gathered with guests and tourist representatives, taking this event as a bridge to deepen cultural and tourism exchange between China and South Korea and to explore new opportunities for the development of inbound tourism.

The dinner event served as a practical initiative by the South Korean travel agency to deepen China- South Korea cultural and tourism cooperation. It was also a vivid demonstration of the agency's commitment to aligning with the national inbound tourism development strategy and driving the upgrade of Zhangjiajie's inbound tourism market. At the event, renowned South Korean comedians took the stage one after another, repeatedly bringing the atmosphere to a climax with their humorous performances and distinctive Korean style. The witty dialogue and lively performances allowed guests to experience the unique charm of South Korean culture amid laughter and joy. Meanwhile, the performances incorporated displays of Zhangjiajie's local folk culture, allowing South Korean friends to experience the ethnic charm of Zhangjiajie up close. This facilitated a two-way cultural exchange between China and South Korea, further strengthening the emotional bond between the two nations' peoples.

As a vital bridge for cultural and tourism exchanges between China and South Korea, the South Korean travel agency has consistently been committed to promoting the mutual exchange of tourism resources and tourists between the two countries. At the banquet, the head of the company delivered a speech, noting that China and South Korea are separated only by a strip of water and share a common cultural heritage, providing a solid foundation and broad prospects for tourism cooperation. As the benefits of the mutual visa-free policies between China and South Korea continue to take effect, people-to-people exchanges are more frequent. The number of South Korean visitors to China in January 2026 increased by 48.1% year on year. As one of the most popular Chinese destinations among South Korean tourists, Zhangjiajie has consistently ranked as a top choice for South Korean tourists over the years, thanks to its unique karst landscape, rich cultural heritage, and comprehensive tourism services. Zhangjiajie is also a preferred destination for "filial piety tourism" among South Korean visitors. From January to July 2025, Zhangjiajie received over 230,000 tourist trips made by South Korean people, with South Korea remaining the city's largest source market for inbound tourism. This dinner event aimed to present Zhangjiajie to more South Korean friends and foster their affection for the destination, further deepening tourism cooperation between China and South Korea and promoting higher-level mutual benefits in areas such as tour route design, mutual exchange of tourists, and cultural performances.

Jin Xin, executive deputy general manager of the Zhangjiajie Tourism Group, noted that the country is currently fully committed to promoting the high-quality development of inbound tourism. Zhangjiajie consistently ranks among the top nationwide for foreign visitor density. In 2025, the city received over 2.56 million inbound tourist trips, becoming a key benchmark in China's inbound tourism market thanks to its unique tourism resources and excellent international reputation. The exchange event aligned precisely with the national strategy for inbound tourism development, establishing a vital platform for tourism exchange between China and South Korea. The event not only diversified cultural and tourism exchange between the two countries but also helped Zhangjiajie consolidate its South Korean visitor source market and enhance its international influence, injecting new momentum into China's inbound tourism market.

The general manager of the South Korean travel agency Zhangjiajie Branch added that the branch will take this event as an opportunity to constantly play its role as a bridge, deeply exploring the synergies between Zhangjiajie's tourism resources and the South Korean market, optimizing the tourism service system for South Korean visitors, and promoting Zhangjiajie's distinctive cultural and tourism resources in the South Korean market. Meanwhile, by leveraging the influence of South Korean entertainers, the branch aims to allow more South Korean people to appreciate the scenic beauty and cultural charm of Zhangjiajie, attract more South Korean tourists, and help Zhangjiajie establish itself as a benchmark for China-South Korea cultural and tourism cooperation.

At the banquet, guests engaged in warm exchanges and discussed cooperation, and spoke highly of the event. The participants all agreed that the dinner event served not only as a spectacular cultural feast but also as a practical and efficient platform for cooperation. The event helped promote cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and South Korea and build a solid foundation for tourism cooperation between the two sides.

The successful hosting of this event has further diversified the forms of China-South Korea cultural and tourism exchange, highlighted Zhangjiajie's significant role in the national inbound tourism market, and deepened the close cooperation between the South Korean travel agency and Zhangjiajie. As China-South Korea cultural and tourism cooperation continues to deepen and national inbound tourism policies take effect, Zhangjiajie will continue to attract more South Korean visitors, becoming a key window for China-South Korea cultural and tourism exchange. The city will contribute its strength to the prosperous development of China's inbound tourism market, attracting more international friends to experience the beauty of China's landscapes and the splendor of Chinese culture.
