On March 23, rows of remanufactured excavators and loaders stood neatly in the Xiangtan Central International Machinery Park in the Zhaoshan area of the Xiangtan High-tech Industrial Development Zone. Workers were busy debugging, testing, and labeling these machines which will be shipped to Africa and Southeast Asia.

"The number of equipment delivered to Zambia so far this year has more than doubled compared to the same period last year," said Sun Le, manager of a machinery company. The company acquires used equipment, and remanufactures it in Xiangtan Central International Machinery Park before selling it to global markets.

As the largest trading center for new construction machinery sales and used equipment transactions in central China, the Xiangtan Central International Machinery Park breaks through geographical boundaries and serves as a bridge connecting the domestic market with global demand. Its "sourcing across China and selling around the world" model has gone from strength to strength.

In the trading hall of the park, an electronic screen displays real-time supply and demand information for equipment from across the country—from used cranes in Heilongjiang to loading machines in Guangdong, and from local manufacturers SANY and Zoomlion to various models from other regions. All this information can be matched in a "one-stop" manner here.

The park is currently home to over 200 enterprises, including 39 trading companies and over 120 parts and component suppliers, forming a complete industrial chain, said Yang Rongbo, a spokesperson of the park. In 2025, the park's construction machinery transaction volume totaled 3.5 billion CNY.

In 2025, the park launched an intelligent integrated service platform for traceability of construction machinery. The platform provides one-stop services such as trading, appraisal, and customs clearance, enabling full-lifecycle traceability of overseas spot transactions and equipment information. To date, the platform has handled nearly 1,000 transactions and served over 80 enterprises. "Previously, we have to visit multiple departments and prepare a large pile of documents for customs clearance. Now, with the online platform, it takes just a few minutes," said a staff member of a machinery import and export company.
