Recently, two dedicated Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal freight trains loaded with 104 containers of high-end photovoltaic glass departed from the Chenzhou Land Port. The cargo would then be shipped directly from Yantian Port in Shenzhen to the United States. During the Spring Festival period, the Chenzhou Land Port has handled four such train trips in a row, processing cumulative total of 1,136 containers.

At the railway freight yard of the Chenzhou Land Port, gantry cranes operated with precision as containers were neatly arranged. Staff conducted safety inspections with handheld devices, maintaining a bustling yet orderly scene. To align cargo delivery with vessel schedules, the Chenzhou Land Port coordinated in advance with the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa Rail-Sea Express to establish a dedicated logistics "green channel," significantly reducing customs clearance and shipping times. "The punctual departure of these trains is the best auspicious sign for the Chinese New Year," said Xie Zhiyu, general manager of the Chenzhou Hunan-Guangdong-Africa International Logistics Co., Ltd.

This dedicated train employed a "point-to-point" direct service, eliminating the need for on-the-way marshaling and directly reaching Yantian Port in Shenzhen for ocean shipment. This "port-rail" collaborative service not only shortens logistics cycles for enterprises but also reduces overall transportation costs.

"Securing a major order in the beginning of the Chinese New Year demonstrates that our overseas logistics channel has gained recognition from premium manufacturing enterprises," explained Cao Shijie, executive director of the Chenzhou International Land Port Development Co., Ltd. He noted that the port's service scope has expanded from the transportation of traditional mineral and agricultural products to precision industrial goods like photovoltaic glass, achieving a comprehensive upgrading of the industrial chain.

In recent years, the Chenzhou Land Port has continuously innovated its logistics models. The introduction of innovative approaches like "direct port loading" and "single-document system" has brought coastal port functions closer to enterprises, enabling businesses to access convenient and efficient port services right at their doorstep. The smooth operation of this intermodal channel acts like a powerful magnet, attracting more outward-oriented industries to cluster here.
