On December 18, the 2025 Top 100 Private Enterprises in Hunan list was officially released.

This marks the fifth time Hunan Province has released this list. Based on the list's findings, under the complex and ever-changing domestic and international economic landscape, the top 100 private enterprises in Hunan have focused on their core businesses and refined their industries, leading the way in navigating challenges and innovating to forge ahead. They have achieved sustained and stable development, with steady improvements across key indicators and a clear trend toward progress and superiority.

Behind this lies the robust momentum unleashed by Hunan's strong support for the private economy, encouraging, assisting, and guiding private enterprises to grow stronger, better, and larger.

Breakthroughs in Scale, Structure, and Innovation Drive Hunan's Private Enterprises to New Levels

This year's list has distinct characteristics.

Overall scale continues to expand. Compared to the previous year, the listed enterprises saw a steady climb in overall scale, with total operating revenue and total assets both surpassing the one-trillion-CNY mark. Among these, total operating revenue reached 1,287.051 billion CNY, an increase of 40.589 billion CNY over the previous year.

Industrial structure is steadily improving. Among these enterprises, 50 are manufacturing companies, accounting for half of the top 100. They hold a dominant position in terms of scale, profitability, taxation, and employment, fully reflecting the new achievements of Hunan in building a "4×4" modern industrial system centered on advanced manufacturing.

Meanwhile, strategic emerging industries have become a vital growth pole for the high-quality development of the top 100 enterprises. Fifty-six listed enterprises have ventured into strategic emerging industries such as new materials, new energy, and high-end equipment manufacturing, with 19 of them generating over 80% of their total revenue from these emerging industries.

Corporate innovation momentum is strong. The enterprises adhere to innovation-driven development, continuously increasing R&D investment and enhancing innovation capabilities. Fourteen enterprises have R&D personnel accounting for over 20% of their employment, an increase of six from the previous year. Forty-seven enterprises have undertaken comprehensive digital transformation layouts, up by six from the previous year. Forty-four enterprises have achieved cost reduction and efficiency gains through digital transformation, an increase of five compared to the previous year.

These enterprises have also continued to improve corporate governance, actively expand international operations, and earnestly fulfill social responsibilities, playing an exemplary and leading role in serving comprehensive rural revitalization and improving public welfare. Additionally, their employment-driving effect is notable, collectively employing 716,300 people, an increase of 45,800 or 6.83% over the previous year, fully leveraging their function as an employment "stabilizer."

Nurturing Fertile Ground for Development, and Adopting Systemic Policies to Energize Private Enterprises

The vigorous development of the private economy cannot be achieved without the encouragement and support of local governments.

Hunan places high importance on the private economy, consistently upholding and implementing the principle of "unswervingly consolidating and developing the public sector and unswervingly encouraging, supporting, and guiding the development of the non-public sector." The province vigorously promotes the implementation of business-friendly policies, continuously strengthens services for enterprises, and wholeheartedly fosters the healthy and high-quality development of the private economy.

Efforts to optimize the business environment are ongoing. The province has implemented the "Private Sector Promotion Law," enacted the "Regulations of Hunan Province on Optimizing the Business Environment," and steadily advanced the "Six Ones" work for the private economy. Initiatives such as "Delivering Policies, Resolving Issues, and Optimizing Services" and "Chain Leaders on the Frontline" are routinely carried out. Reforms like "Machine-managed Bidding" are fully promoted, and management mechanisms for "Efficiently Handling One Matter" are established and refined. The effectiveness of services for private enterprises is enhanced. The policy system is comprehensively optimized, with regular actions to better serve the enterprises. The service network for safeguarding the rights and interests of private enterprises is continuously improved, initiatives like "Warming the Hearts of Hunan Entrepreneurs" are persistently carried out, and efforts to bring Hunan entrepreneurs back are steadily advanced. Furthermore, the 13 key industrial chains that Hunan has been diligently cultivating have become powerful engines driving the province's high-quality economic development.

The province promotes innovative development among private enterprises, actively guiding enterprises to focus on transforming and upgrading traditional industries, consolidating and extending advantageous industries, cultivating and expanding emerging industries, and forward-looking planning for future industries. During exchanges between reporters and representatives of the top 100 enterprises at the event, it was noted that despite the current complex and fluctuating domestic and international economic conditions, a consensus emerged: remain steadfast in the belief of serving the nation through industry, embrace passion for entrepreneurship and patriotism, and focus intently on making enterprises stronger, better, and larger, contributing to the broader development blueprint through concrete actions.

Truking Technology Co., Ltd. is a leading enterprise in China's pharmaceutical equipment industry and a renowned player globally. This year, the company was once again listed among the top 100 private enterprises in Hunan. "Going forward, we are even more confident in competing globally in this industry," said Tang Yue, chairman and president of the company. He noted that technological innovation has made the company's products more internationally competitive, steadily opening up overseas markets.

Tat Ka Wai Hong Pharmaceutical Group, rooted in Hunan for over 20 years, has now evolved into a modern pharmaceutical industrial group integrating new medicine research and development, biopharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical distribution, and medical services. Over the past year, the enterprise further expanded its digital and intelligent workshops, enhanced its smart logistics center, and accelerated its layout in regenerative medicine, leading to sustained positive development. "Being included in the top 100 list is a great honor and immense encouragement, and our confidence in future development is unwavering," said Ou Zhizhen, vice president of the group. She stated that the company will further focus on the research, development, and manufacturing of innovative medicine, medical devices, and health products, contributing more to the development of Hunan's biopharmaceutical and medical device industries.
