The 33rd Summer Olympic Games drew to a conclusion in Paris, France at midnight of August 12 Beijing time. China's Olympic delegation finished with 40 gold, 27 silver, and 24 bronze medals at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, marking the country's best performance at an overseas Olympic Games. The CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Hunan Province sent a congratulatory message to the country's Olympic delegation on the morning of August 12, for their accomplishments and sportsmanship at the Olympics.

The congratulatory message reads:

At the 33rd Summer Olympic Games, Chinese sportsmen and women won 40 gold, 27 silver, and 24 bronze medals, winning honor for our motherland and people. The provincial Party committee and the provincial government would like to express our warm congratulations to you! Since the beginning of the Olympic Games, China's sportsmen and women have been fighting hard and striving to be the first, showing the spirit and competitive level of Chinese athletes in the Olympics in the new era. They vividly interpreted the Olympic spirit and the Chinese sportsmanship and greatly encouraged the people of Hunan.
