On August 7, a promotion conference for the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo and the 2026 Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Industry took place in Changsha, extending a sincere invitation to enterprises and merchants from China's central regions to gather in Hangzhou and participate in the grand digital trade event.
The 5th Global Digital Trade Expo will be held in Hangzhou from September 23 to 27, with an exhibition area of 170,000 square meters. Highlighting "Artificial Intelligence Empowering Digital Trade," the expo adopts the exhibition concept of "accessible, interactive, and tradable." The event features a "1+6+1" exhibition structure: one theme pavilion and six distinctive industry exhibition zones for Silk Road e-commerce, artificial intelligence, digital and intelligent mobility, digital and intelligent entertainment, digital and intelligent healthcare, and spatial intelligence, along with the newly established digital trade innovation and integration exhibition zone.
Changsha, rooted in central China and extending its influence nationwide, and Hangzhou, a coastal city known for its openness and inclusivity, hold immense potential for cooperation in areas such as enhancing the quality of conventions and exhibitions and opening up to the outside world. Shao Lingling, deputy director of the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, expressed the hope that the two cities will use the Global Digital Trade Expo—a high-level platform for opening up—as a bridge to regularly conduct exchanges in the convention and exhibition industry and foster talent interaction, thereby promoting the mutual sharing of exhibition resources, business resources, and industrial resources, and working together to cultivate new business forms and models in the convention and exhibition sector.
Last year, Hunan organized a group of high-quality enterprises to participate in the 4th Global Digital Trade Expo, yielding fruitful results. "This year, we will continue to organize enterprises with distinctive advantages from the province to participate in the expo, broadening global market access for Hunan's digital products and services," said Deng Weiping, deputy director of the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, adding that they will continue to deepen collaboration with the commerce authorities in Zhejiang and Hangzhou, engage in pragmatic cooperation in areas such as digital trade, cross-border e-commerce, and professional exhibitions, and jointly seize opportunities in global digital trade development.
At the event, a group of high-quality Hunan enterprises, including CNHNB, Hunan Jingwang Technology Co., Ltd., Hunan Chuangling E-commerce Public Service Co. Ltd., and Chenzhou Jiule E-commerce Co., Ltd., signed letters of intent to participate in the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo. Additionally, the Hangzhou Research Association for Convention and Exhibition signed an agreement with the Hunan Convention, Exhibition and Event Society, building a smoother cooperation platform for convention and exhibition enterprises from both regions.
