Duty-free Shops at Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport

On January 21, 2026, five central government departments including the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the General Administration of Customs, and the State Taxation Administration jointly issued a notice on matters concerning duty-free shops at ports of entry. The notice announced the establishment of one new duty-free shop at each of 41 ports of entry to the country. Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport was selected as one of these ports.

According to the notice, these shores only offer duty-free goods to inbound international passengers.

Additionally, Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport was approved to open its first duty-free shop in 2016. The duty-free shop is the only duty-free store in the Wuling Mountain Area. With an operating area of nearly 100 square meters, it offers a wide range of products including tobacco, alcohol, luggage, perfumes, and cosmetics, catering to the diverse shopping needs of outbound travelers at the port.
