Chushu, or the End of Heat, is the 14th of the 24 solar terms on the Chinese lunar calendar and the second solar term in autumn. It begins on August 23 this year. This solar term implies that most parts of China are transitioning out of the scorching summer heat and entering autumn. However, in fact, it is not cool yet at the moment and could still be very hot on some days. This is also a busy harvest season for farmers.
