On January 16, the media preview event for "African Treasures Join Chinese New Year" was held at the Permanent Exhibition Hall of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE), marking the prelude to the upcoming campaign. From January 23 to February 8, the "African Treasures Join Chinese New Year" event will be held in Yiyang and Yueyang, inviting more consumers to experience the charm of distinctive African products and share in the new achievements in China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.
At the media preview event, handmade lemon African tea, signature South African cocktails, and Rooibos tea offered guests a unique "daytime tea and evening drinks" experience. Cosmetic products like shea butter hand cream, body lotion, and essential oils garnered unanimous praise. African treats such as nuts, fiery "Mo La Ge" chili sauce, and coffee offered attendees a culinary journey. The CAETE mascots "Huabao" and "Feibao," made appearances, interacting with the crowd.
From January 23 to 27, the Yiyang Special Event will take place in the form of a trendy flash mob at the Ming and Qing-era Ancient Lane Scenic Spot. The event will feature over 120 quality African products, three immersive experience zones, and popular interactive activities, stretching the boundaries of traditional Chinese New Year shopping festivals. The event will create a new must-visit destination for locals to stroll, shop, and entertain during the Spring Festival.
From January 30 to February 8, the "African Treasures Join Chinese New Year" event will be organized in Yueyang, integrating with the New Year shopping festival at Nanhu Square. The move aims to create a super New Year shopping fair, integrating "in-depth product experiences, immersive cultural interactions, and trendy digital consumption," while enabling residents to purchase quality African products.
