A month-long national event on optimizing consumer environment was launched in Quanzhou City, Fujian Province on November 3. The first batch of nine "Worry-free Consumption Demonstration Cities" nationwide was unveiled, with Changsha and Changde in Hunan making the list.

The State Administration for Market Regulation rolled out the worry-free consumption project, focusing on empowering business entities and facilitating consumer decision-making. Baidu Maps, JD, Taobao Flash Shopping, and Meituan are the first four platforms to join the national worry-free consumption platform, enabling merchants to "mark once and light up in multiple platforms." Consumers can search for "worry-free consumption" on online maps or food delivery platforms to view lists and locations of the worry-free consumption merchants. For merchants that fail to fulfill their commitments, market regulatory authorities will take prompt action, and platforms will simultaneously remove the worry-free consumption label.

"The inclusion of two cities marks progress of Hunan in continuously building a worry-free consumer environment," said a spokesperson from the Administration for Market Regulation of Hunan Province. Hunan has incorporated optimizing the consumer environment into the provincial government work report and the "1+7" policy system for boosting consumption, with high-level coordination and promotion. The province has promoted the "dual commitments" initiative for worry-free consumption, with a cumulative total of 88,900 units joining the worry-free consumption commitment and 47,200 units committing to unconditional returns offline. Relying on the worry-free consumption smart management system, "one enterprise, one code" dynamic management is implemented, with over 110,000 enterprises registered on the platform, achieving precise cultivation and dynamic supervision.
  
In recent years, Hunan has built a number of worry-free consumption demonstration areas such as the Fisherman's Wharf in Changsha, Hejie Street in Changde, and Yuhou Street in Chenzhou. Besides, a special column was set on Hunan Daily's Hunan Today app to continuously build up the "Worry-Free Consumption · Happy Hunan" brand.
