The Philippines, Brazil, and Malaysia are top three export markets

Hunan's exports of electric vehicles reached 11.14 billion CNY in the first three quarters of this year, growing 29.3% over the same period last year. The export volume exceeded 100,000 units, reaching 104,000 units, an increase of 60.4%, the Changsha Customs Authority recently announced.

In September, 235 Geely new energy vehicles (NEVs) were delivered from Xiangtan Comprehensive Bonded Zone to Egypt after going through the customs under a model of entry and exit in batches and consolidated declaration. Hunan's exports of electric vehicles continued to grow, thanks to the strong overseas demand for electric vehicles. Specifically, Changsha exported 6.98 billion CNY, accounting for 62.6% of the province's total electric vehicle export value during the same period, topping the province in electric vehicle export scale. During the same period, Xiangtan exported 1.94 billion CNY, while Huaihua exported 890 million CNY. In addition, Shaoyang, Zhuzhou, Chenzhou, Yueyang, and other places achieved triple-digit positive growth, gradually forming a multi-point support pattern.

The Philippines, Brazil, and Malaysia were the top three export markets, with their export value up 310.2%, 59.9%, and 210.7-fold respectively. Hunan's export growth rates to Belarus, Cambodia, Armenia, and others increased more than tenfold.

During the January-September period, Hunan's exports of electric passenger vehicles rose 13.7% to 9.27 billion CNY, accounting for more than 80%, making them the dominant force of Hunan's electric vehicle exports. Among them, exports of plug-in hybrid passenger vehicles increased 31.7% to 4.74 billion CNY. The exports reached 51,000 units, an increase of 42.9%. Exports of pure electric passenger vehicles were 4.12 billion CNY, and those of pure electric buses (10 seats and above) reached 400 million CNY.
