Vice Governor Xie Weijiang has been appointed acting governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, according to a decision of the 26th Session of the Standing Committee of the 14th Hunan Provincial People's Congress and the nomination by the Meeting of Directors of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress.

Xie Weijiang, male, Han nationality, was born in January 1973. He obtained a master's degree and is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He is now serving as deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee; vice governor and acting governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province; secretary of the CPC Leadership Group of the People's Government of Hunan Province; and, secretary of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee.
