Cooperation and Exchange Conference on the "Gathering in Baling, Linking the Future" 2026 Invest Hunan · Multinational Corporations Yueyang Tour Held

On the morning of October 28, a cooperation and exchange conference on the "Gathering in Baling, Linking the Future" 2026 Invest Hunan · Multinational Corporations Yueyang Tour was held. Representatives from 32 multinational corporations, including Linde Group, Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group), Want Want Group, Sika Group, Walmart, Tesla, and HSBC, gathered in Yueyang together with representatives from institutions and business associations such as the Liaison Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) in Hunan and Enterprise Singapore to discuss cooperation and seek common development.

The Multinational Corporations Hunan Tour is a signature event in Hunan that serves as a regular channel for connecting with global capital. This cooperation and exchange conference resulted in a series of practical cooperation intentions. CP Group, which has been deeply rooted in Yueyang for nearly 40 years, is accelerating the layout of a full laying-hen industrial chain and rice processing projects, and has already completed preliminary coordination. InterContinental Hotels Group, targeting Yueyang's annual tourist visits of 83.85 million, looks forward to establishing more branded hotels in the city. Baijun Medical Treatment is exploring the development of high-quality specialized medical projects for kidney disease. The Hunan Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment also brought a batch of investment intentions, including an environmental protection project by Zurbrüggen Group from Germany.

To accelerate the transformation of cooperation intentions into tangible results, Yueyang will implement full life-cycle services for major foreign-funded projects based on the principle of "one project, one dedicated team, one plan, and relentless follow-through." The city will coordinate key resources—including land, energy consumption, green electricity, financing, and talent—to give priority to key foreign-invested projects. It will also improve the roundtable meeting system for foreign-invested enterprises to ensure that companies are granted both market access and the ability to operate smoothly.

Yueyang has a solid industrial foundation and broad space for cooperation. As a national regional central city and a provincial sub-center city, Yueyang consistently ranks second in the province in terms of economic aggregate and 60th on the list of China's top 100 cities by GDP. It is home to 11 industrial parks at the provincial level or above and has developed five industries each worth 100 billion CNY: modern chemicals and new materials, port and shipping logistics, modern agriculture and food processing, advanced equipment manufacturing, and culture, sports, and tourism. Yueyang has also ranked among the top 100 cities in China for advanced manufacturing.
