On the afternoon of October 7, according to the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Hunan Province recorded a total of 33.215 million tourist trips during the seven-day National Day holiday, based on big data modeling analysis of mobile phone signaling. Of the total, 8.932 million trips were made by people from outside the province, accounting for 26.89%; while 24.283 million were made by tourists from within Hunan, accounting for 73.11%.

The 351 accommodation units under monitoring received a total of 451,400 tourist arrivals. The 12 5A-level scenic areas under monitoring received 5.6233 million tourist visits and the 201 4A-level scenic areas received 9.7012 million visits.
