From September 16 to 20, the South Korean delegation toured key scenic areas such as the Wulingyuan core scenic area and Tianmen Mountain. They immersed themselves in the peak forest, sea of clouds, and canyon scenery along standardized barrier-free tour routes, fully experiencing Zhangjiajie's stunning natural scenery and rich Tujia folk customs.
After the on-site experience, the South Korean guests highly praised Zhangjiajie's practical measures and fruitful results in continuously advancing barrier-free environment construction under complex mountainous conditions. They also spoke highly of the scenic areas' comprehensive supporting facilities, thoughtful volunteer services, and inclusive and friendly tourism environment. "We have long followed Zhangjiajie's advanced experience in barrier-free cultural tourism construction. This on-site visit truly made us feel the warmth and quality of Zhangjiajie's cultural tourism services. We gained a lot and were deeply impressed," a delegation member said.
Under the strong support and coordinated promotion of the CPC Zhangjiajie Municipal Committee and the Zhangjiajie Municipal People's Government, the local cultural and tourism departments, federation of disabled persons, and major scenic areas have worked closely together and made joint efforts. Based on the complex terrain in mountain scenic areas and the great challenges faced by special groups when visiting, they have continuously advanced barrier-free environment construction and regularly promoted facility upgrades and service quality improvement.
The Wulingyuan core scenic area has carried out standardized and refined renovations on hardware facilities such as barrier-free tour paths, barrier-free restrooms, dedicated barrier-free passage areas for cableways, barrier-free rest points, and scenic area shuttle services. Meanwhile, it has continuously improved the soft service system, including exclusive tour guarantees for special groups, warm companionship, and convenient consultation, effectively solving the travel and sightseeing difficulties of special groups in mountainous scenic areas and gradually building a barrier-free tourism service system catering to their characteristics. After years of continuous construction, Zhangjiajie's barrier-free cultural tourism hardware and software facilities have steadily improved, with the brand influence continuing to grow and becoming well-known overseas.
