The 2026 Hunan (Liling) International Ceramic Industry Expo will be held at the China Ceramics Valley International Convention and Exhibition Center from September 29 to October 3. The Information Office of the Hunan Provincial People's Government held a press conference recently in Changsha to brief the media on the event.

Liling is the birthplace of underglaze five-colored porcelain. At present, the city has built a complete ceramic industry cluster spanning from R&D and design to production and sales, and from cultural creativity to cultural-tourism integration. Its products cover more than 4,000 varieties in three major categories: industrial ceramics, household ceramics, and art ceramics. Among them, household porcelain is exported to more than 150 countries and regions, and the export volume of electric porcelain, a core product of industrial ceramics, has ranked first in China for 15 consecutive years.

With the theme of "Millennium-old Porcelain Capital, Multi-colored Liling," this year's expo focuses on four major dimensions: industry, culture, public benefit, and cultural tourism. It will organize 26 activities in four categories: pre-event promotions, themed events, visitor attraction, and cultural tourism. Meanwhile, the event adheres to a dual-track model of "offline exhibitions and online market expansion." Leveraging the characteristics of Liling's ceramic industry and the development trend of e-commerce, the event will roll out measures to convert online traffic into tangible results for both domestic and international trade.

In 2025, the annual output value of Liling's electric porcelain industry exceeded 10 billion CNY. During this expo, a conference on promoting the high-quality development of the electric porcelain and electrical appliance industry will be held, bringing together industry elites from State Grid, China Southern Power Grid, research institutes, industry associations, and leading enterprises. Focusing on new power grid construction, intelligent manufacturing, and other hot topics, the participants will jointly explore pathways to high-end, intelligent, and green development of Liling's electric porcelain and electrical appliance industry.

In addition to enhancing the industry's value, the expo will feature a diverse range of activities. The "Liling Ceramics Super Factory Open Week" will kick off ahead of the expo, opening the production workshops of leading enterprises such as Hualian Group, Taorun Group, and Shangfang Kiln to the public and allowing visitors to experience the industrial charm of "Intelligent Manufacturing in Liling" up close. The "Liling Ceramics Mega Sale" will offer factory prices, limited-time flash sales, and spend-and-get promotions. A total of 100,000 ceramic products will be made available for free picking at the main venue and multiple sites across the city, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the unique charm of Liling's ceramic culture. The "Ceramic Pattern Fuse Beads Creative Workshop" will spark young people's interest in and appreciation for Liling's porcelain shapes and patterns through fun handicrafts.

The previous expo attracted more than 300 ceramic enterprises from over 10 countries. This year's expo covers an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters, with five major exhibition halls and 1,350 standard booths. The event will bring together internationally renowned ceramic brands and key domestic production areas, covering products across the entire industrial chain such as art porcelain, household porcelain, electric porcelain and electrical appliances, advanced ceramics, and cultural and creative wine bottles.

The expo is co-hosted by the China Ceramic Industry Association, the China Grocery Products for Daily Use Marketing Society, the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, the Industry and Information Technology Department of Hunan Province, the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Zhuzhou Municipal People's Government.
