Targeting Africa as a Key Region and Adopting a Global Layout
The unveiling ceremony of the International Cooperation and Innovation Base for BDS Applications was held in Zhuzhou on September 15, 2026. The base focuses on the international development needs of the BeiDou industry, opens up channels between the domestic industry and overseas markets, and promotes coordinated overseas expansion of BeiDou enterprises.
After officially commencing operations, the International Cooperation and Innovation Base for BDS Applications will target Africa as a key region and adopt a global layout. The base will carry out five core businesses, including international exchange, industrial matchmaking, project cooperation, application promotion, and talent training. It will serve four major functions: serving as a bridge for international cooperation, aggregating industrial resources, incubating and implementing projects, and demonstrating and promoting applications.
On the one hand, the base will advance the transformation of the domestic BeiDou industry from "individual enterprise going global" to "coordinated overseas expansion along the industrial chain," enhancing the international market expansion capabilities of the BeiDou industry in Zhuzhou and even Hunan. On the other hand, focusing on key areas such as smart logistics, precision agriculture, smart mining, disaster prevention and reduction, and engineering construction, it will build a number of landmark demonstration projects for overseas application, gradually establishing a collaboration system connecting the domestic BeiDou industry with international markets.
The BDS internationalization overseas business expansion plan was released at the ceremony, and the first batch of ecosystem partner linkage mechanisms was launched, bringing together upstream and downstream resources of the BeiDou industrial chain. Meanwhile, domestic BeiDou enterprises will continue to be organized to conduct project negotiations with overseas governments, institutions, and enterprises, promoting targeted matchmaking of technologies, products, and services with overseas markets.
Representatives from the first batch of ecosystem partner enterprises, including China Time and Space Information Group Co., Ltd., China Telecom, China Mobile, Hunan Construction Investment Group, Haige Communications, CHC Navigation, and Zhuzhou Industrial Investment Group, participated in the unveiling ceremony.
