On September 9, the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) opened at Shougang Park in Beijing. Hunan took part with a 100-square-meter pavilion and an integrated online-offline model. A total of 54 Hunan enterprises showcased diverse scenarios of AI-empowered trade in services.
The Hunan Pavilion featured five major sections: AI manufacturing, AI healthcare, AI lifestyle, AI cultural tourism, and a special Huxiang culture section. Among them, AI manufacturing highlighted the solid foundation of Hunan's digital upgrading in industry, AI healthcare and AI lifestyle illustrated digital-intelligent achievements in people's livelihoods and the momentum for services traded exports, while AI cultural tourism conveyed the beauty of Huxiang culture to the world through digital innovation. The four sections were closely interconnected, vividly portraying Hunan's AI-empowered practices of quality improvement and upgrading, leaps in efficiency, and accelerated overseas expansion. Integrating exhibition, experience, and outreach, the pavilion fully highlighted the distinctive features of trade in services.
Willfar Information introduced its comprehensive energy IoT solutions; Leying Wuyou brought AI translation earphones, AI translation glasses, and other smart terminals; Huayuan Shibadong Miao Embroidery Cultural Industry Co., Ltd. presented cultural and creative Miao embroidery products such as tiger-head hats, round fans, and handbags, which have been sold to Italy, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and other regions.
Changsha Chenlong Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd., participating for the first time, mainly provides high-end intelligent equipment and solutions for unmanned aerial and ground operations and low-altitude defense. Their products sell well in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and other markets. "We hope CIFTIS will build a bridge for us to sell our products overseas," said Duan Baofeng, assistant to the company's manager.
From January to June this year, Hunan's total trade in services reached 3.457 billion USD, up 15.4% year on year. The province had 4,654 enterprises with actual performance in trade in services, including 53 enterprises with import and export volumes of 10 million USD or more.
The 2026 CIFTIS will last until September 13. It is the first national-level comprehensive exhibition for trade in services in the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030). The core exhibition area also debuts a showcase of more than 140 innovation cases spanning all 12 categories of services trade. Core technologies such as artificial intelligence, large language models, and intelligent agents account for nearly 40%, offering a glimpse of where China's services sector is headed.
