On September 7 and 8, Yu Hongsheng, vice governor of Hunan Province, led a delegation to Xiamen to participate in activities of the 26th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) and carry out a series of economic and trade matchmaking events.

Vice Governor Yu and his delegation attended the opening ceremony of CIFIT, the 8th Silk Road Maritime International Cooperation Forum, and other activities. Vice Governor Yu, together with Wang Yongli, executive vice governor of Fujian Province, announced the official launch of the Hunan-Fujian Silk Road Maritime Rail-Sea Intermodal Transport Corridor. The CIFIT brought together more than 1,200 government institutions and business delegations from 129 countries and regions and 30 international organizations, effectively expanding two-way investment and promoting trade and investment liberalization and facilitation.

During the fair, Vice Governor Yu and his delegation met with the executives of Fortune Global 500 foreign-invested enterprises such as Linde Group and Bayer Group, as well as the head of Zijin Mining, sincerely inviting more Fortune Global 500 companies to invest and do business in Hunan for mutual benefit and win-win results. The three enterprises carried out targeted matchmaking with the cities of Changsha, Yueyang, Changde, Yongzhou, and Loudi and the Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hunan, reaching cooperation intentions in fields such as industrial gases, biomedicine, resource development, and crop protection.

At the research symposium of the Hunan Chamber of Commerce in Fujian Province, Vice Governor Yu fully acknowledged the contributions made by Hunan entrepreneurs in Fujian in terms of returning to their hometowns for investment and empowering Hunan's high-quality development. He expressed the hope that the chamber of commerce would serve well as a warm home for Hunan entrepreneurs, an investment promotion specialist for Hunan, and an image ambassador for Hunan, thereby attracting more high-quality resources and talent from Fujian to Hunan. Twelve entrepreneur representatives of the chamber of commerce held in-depth discussions with the relevant cities and the autonomous prefecture, reaching a series of cooperation intentions in such fields as artificial intelligence and optoelectronic display.
