The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently announced the preliminary list of candidates for the first batch of national demonstration bases for emerging industries. There were 21 industrial parks and 112 enterprises across China shortlisted. Two industrial parks from Hunan--the Changsha High-Tech Industrial Development Zone and the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone--were included, along with six enterprises. They are Hunan Goke Microelectronics Co., Ltd., CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd., HNAC Technology Co., Ltd., Truking Technology Limited, Sunward Special Equipment Co., Ltd., and Hunan Zoomlion Emergency Equipment Co., Ltd. The enterprises cover frontier fields such as artificial intelligence, new energy storage manufacturing, biomanufacturing, and emergency equipment.

The number of selected industrial parks in Hunan tied for first place nationally with six other provinces, ranking first in central China. It ranked eighth nationwide and second in the central region in terms of shortlisted enterprises.

Changsha High-Tech Industrial Development Zone specializes in commercial aerospace, a core hub for Hunan to pilot the comprehensive low-altitude airspace reform. The development zone has gathered more than 400 aerospace and BeiDou-related enterprises and institutions, and cultivated 32 national specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprises, with an industrial scale exceeding 30 billion CNY.

Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone focuses on safety and emergency equipment. Leveraging the advantages of a world-class construction machinery industrial cluster, the zone extends its manufacturing capability into the emerging field of safety and emergency equipment, and has currently gathered more than 160 safety and emergency equipment enterprises.
