On August 28, the Information Office of Hunan Provincial People's Government held a press conference for the 5th International Summit on BDS Applications in Changsha. It was announced at the conference that the summit will be held in Zhuzhou, Hunan, from September 15 to 16. To date, more than 20 countries and international organizations from Asia, Africa, the Americas, and other regions have confirmed their participation.

This year's summit is jointly hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Transport, and the People's Government of Hunan Province. Themed "One World, BDS with You - Empowering the Globe," the event will adopt an overall structure of "1+10+7+10," which consists of an opening ceremony with a keynote session, 10 thematic forums, seven academic exchanges, and 10 local special activities.

During the summit, more than 10 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering in the BDS field, as well as over 100 heads of leading enterprises, will deliver speeches. Meanwhile, an international talent training program on aerospace and BDS under the Belt and Road Initiative will be held to promote the latest BDS technologies, products, and application achievements.

The demonstration scenarios at this year's summit, featuring both indoor and outdoor exhibition areas, will focus on the theme of "welcoming all parties to use the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System." So far, 133 enterprises and organizations have registered to participate. The exhibition areas will be open to the public and primary and secondary school students, featuring static displays of rockets, satellites, eVTOL, and heavy-lift drones, as well as dynamic flight and autonomous driving experiences. This will create an immersive technological space where visitors can observe, operate, and interact with the exhibits, bringing cutting-edge technology to the public.

Notably, the summit will unveil the "International Exchange and Promotion Center for BDS Applications," which will be permanently located in Zhuzhou, Hunan. The center will serve as a regular platform to connect global supply and demand, promoting BDS products and services to the world.
