On August 30, Changsha's new "museum + resort" cultural exploration route will officially open. The route links the thousand-year-old cultural heritage of Hunan Museum with the transformed landscape of Dawangshan's former mining pit. With a "half-day for national treasures, half-day for theme parks" model, it offers visitors a seamless, in-depth cultural tourism experience. The route bids farewell to superficial sightseeing, smoothly connecting cultural immersive travel with leisurely relaxation.

Previously, many visitors to Changsha faced a dilemma: eager to thoroughly explore the core national treasures at Hunan Museum while also not wanting to miss the immersive attractions at Dawangshan Tourist Resort, with cross-district commuting often consuming much of the sightseeing time. This route directly connects the two top cultural tourism IPs in Changsha, completely removing the hassle of cross-district travel.

The route will start daily operation at 15:00 from Dawangshan Langham Ice and Snow Theme Hotel, with the first stop at Wenzheng Academy located in the heart of the resort area. Named after Zeng Guofan's posthumous title, this academy is designed with the idea of "Landscape of Xiaoxiang, Academy in Hunan," exuding a scholarly atmosphere. Visitors can appreciate the philosophical lineage of Hunan Neo-Confucianism and experience the spiritual character of modern Hunan literati, offering a cultural prelude to the journey.

The resort area itself is also a vivid example of Changsha's urban renewal. Dawangshan has been transformed from abandoned mining pit into a diverse resort destination integrating entertainment, accommodation, and leisure. The story of this "mining pit miracle" is a must-visit site in Changsha.

Continuing on the route, visitors will arrive at Hunan Museum. As one of Hunan's top ten cultural landmarks, it is a national-level key museum representing Chinese regional civilization and an important window for understanding the progress of Hunan civilization and the mysteries of Hunan culture. The museum has customized an exclusive touring route for visitors, allowing them to sequentially cover national treasure highlights such as the plain gauze gown and core artifacts from the Mawangdui Han Tombs. Visitors can comprehend the thousand-year-old civilizational lineage of Hunan, and there are no need to plan their own itinerary or search for exhibits.

The entire route will be equipped with dedicated cultural tourism buses and professional cultural guides, turning the journey into a mobile classroom where visitors can unlock stories of Changsha's urban culture along the way.

This collaboration between two core IPs is an innovative practice in Changsha's cultural tourism integration. The museum's profound heritage injects a unique cultural core into the resort experience, while Dawangshan's rich scenes provide extended consumption space for museum visitors, achieving mutual visitor flow. Official information on boarding rules, reservation details, and more will be available through the "Dawangshan International Tourism Resort" official WeChat public account.
