Hunan's "New Three" Product Exports Surge in Jan-July

In the first seven months of this year, Hunan's exports of the "new three" products—electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, and photovoltaic products—totaled 14.33 billion CNY, an increase of 26.6% year on year, according to the Changsha Customs data released on August 16. Among them, exports of electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, and photovoltaic products grew by 15.3%, 42.8%, and 91.1%, respectively.

During the January-July period, Hunan's exports of "new three" products to ASEAN, the EU, and Africa reached 4.22 billion CNY, 3.01 billion CNY, and 860 million CNY, up 18.1%, 97.7%, and 87%, respectively. The Philippines, Brazil, and Germany ranked as the top three export destinations, with exports of 1.49 billion CNY, 1.42 billion CNY, and 1.39 billion CNY, rising 306%, 59.6%, and 66.7%, respectively. Meanwhile, exports to Malaysia, Bulgaria, Cambodia, and Russia soared more than tenfold.

The Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan region dominates Hunan's "new three" exports, accounting for over 80% of the provincial total. In the first seven months, Changsha topped the list with 9.12 billion CNY, while Xiangtan and Zhuzhou followed, surging 42.9-fold and 171.6%, respectively. Huaihua, Changde, and Chenzhou also saw explosive growth, skyrocketing 26.7-fold, 42.5-fold, and 312.4%, respectively.
