On August 9 local time in Helsingborg, Sweden, the Changjun Bilingual School Choir in Changsha won the Golden Diploma Level II in the fiercely contested Children's Choirs Category of the Open Competition at the award ceremony of the 14th World Choir Games.

The Changjun choir performed four songs of four styles, namely the Chinese-style "Little Garden," the healing song "Light," the Yunnan Yi folk song "The Sun Is Out," and the Swahili welcome song "Jambo." The Chinese teenagers presented Eastern artistic conception, ethnic melodies, and global rhythms in harmony, showcasing the artistic caliber of Chinese youth.

Outside the competition venue, they held an "outdoor concert" on the steps in front of Kärnan, a landmark tower in Helsingborg, Sweden, and exchanged gifts to express friendship with overseas friends. The gold medal is an honor, but what is even more precious is that Chinese youth are going out, singing out, and being seen globally.

The World Choir Games is known as the "Olympics of the choral world." On this trip, the Changsha teenagers not only stood on the podium but also let the world remember the beautiful sounds of the youth of China.
