This year marks the 14th session of such summer internship program in Hunan. A total of 34 employers provided 178 internships for students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions, covering fields such as financial technology, Internet+, cultural innovation, and green energy. One hundred college students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions, who are studying in universities including Central South University, Hunan University, Hunan Normal University, and the University of Macau, secured internships.
During the one-month internship, the students will work in their respective positions. Besides, they will visit places such as the old revolutionary base area in Biancheng Town, Shibadong Village—the birthplace of China's "targeted poverty alleviation" campaign, and Tongguan Kiln, to gain a deep understanding of Huxiang cultural heritage and Hunan's economic and social development. Through practices and study tours, they will enhance their abilities, build consensus, and cultivate a deep sense of patriotism.
This event was co-hosted by the Hunan Overseas Friendship Association, Hunan Cross-Strait Exchange Promotion Association, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the Hunan Provincial People's Government, the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Hunan Youth Federation.
