The China-Morocco Business and Trade Association Symposium, a key thematic event of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo in Africa (Morocco), was held in Casablanca on June 11 local time. The Import & Export Commodity Promotion Conference was convened simultaneously.
Themed "Deepening Business Association Cooperation, Jointly Promoting Trade and Investment Facilitation," the event was attended by approximately 120 representatives from government agencies, business associations, financial institutions, and enterprises from China, Morocco, France, Tunisia, and other countries.
China and Morocco enjoy a profound traditional friendship, with the bilateral economic and trade cooperation continuing to heat up.
Deng Luoxing, first-level inspector of the CCPIT Hunan Sub-council, spoke at the event. He mentioned that, in 2025, the total import and export volume between Hunan and Morocco reached 339 million USD, a year-on-year increase of 16.9%, with imports from Morocco growing by 287.18%. Since May 1 this year, China has fully implemented zero-tariff treatment covering all 53 African countries with which it has diplomatic ties. Hunan has been among the first to enjoy the policy dividends. The CCPIT Hunan Sub-council will continue to play its role as a bridge and link, facilitating more Hunan enterprises to "go global" while attracting enterprises from Morocco and other African countries to invest and develop in Hunan, sharing development opportunities.
Luo Yejian, vice president of the CCPIT Changsha Branch, highlighted Changsha's industrial advantages and business environment. Representatives from eight enterprises from both China and Morocco took the stage to promote their products in such fields as equipment manufacturing, new energy, smart devices, household products, and exhibition services, showcasing rich potential for cooperation.
During the thematic dialogue session, seven representatives from China, Morocco, France, Tunisia, and other countries engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including "Experience Sharing and Cooperation Needs" and "Overcoming Challenges in Cross-Border Cooperation." They put forward pragmatic suggestions on aspects such as shared information platform, joint legal guidelines, and financial support plans, offering practicable approaches for future collaboration.
During the event, the CCPIT Hunan Sub-council signed friendship cooperation agreements with the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), the Tunisian Center for Export Promotion (CEPEX), and the Moroccan Chinese Business Association. Additionally, the Hunan-Africa Business Service Company signed cooperation agreements with the Morocco Gao Shi Import Export Company and the Morocco Shenzhou Voyage Travel Agency. These further cemented the foundation for cooperation between Hunan and Morocco in economy and trade, culture and tourism, and commercial services, facilitating the diversification and deepening of bilateral trade, cultural and tourism exchanges, and industrial collaboration, injecting strong momentum into the long-term and stable economic and trade cooperation between Hunan and Africa.
This event was co-hosted by the CCPIT Hunan Sub-council and the Hunan Federation of Industry and Commerce.
