"Overseas Chinese media serve as a bridge connecting China and the world," said Wu Hui, secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and chairman of the Hunan Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. He noted that overseas Chinese media have long been deeply engaged in overseas media landscape, using words and cameras to record Hunan's development and convey the warmth of the Hunan people, making outstanding contributions to Hunan's international exchanges. He expressed the hope that overseas media representatives would conduct in-depth field visits across Hunan, uncover vivid stories, share the province's development achievements, and help facilitate deep integration and mutually beneficial cooperation between overseas Chinese business resources and Hunan's industries.
The media delegation began its field visits on June 9, touring the Hunan Museum and the Hunan Embroidery Museum to explore the cultural heritage of Hunan. At the Hunan Museum, the delegation visited the Mawangdui Han Dynasty Tombs Exhibition, appreciating splendid Han civilization and profound historical heritage through various precious cultural relics. At the Hunan Embroidery Museum, the delegation had a close-up appreciation of the exquisite craftsmanship of Hunan embroidery, a national intangible cultural heritage item, and learned about its achievements in inheritance and innovative development.
