Established in July 2022, Hunan Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. is a large state-owned enterprise group through the merger of the former Hunan Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. and Hunan Provincial Transportation, Water Conservancy, and Construction Group Co., Ltd., with assets exceeding 100 billion CNY. Its core businesses include industrial and civil construction, road, bridge, and municipal infrastructure construction, water conservancy, hydropower, water utilities, water transport, and port and terminal construction, as well as real estate and engineering survey, design, and consulting services. Boasting an AAA credit rating, the group is vigorously promoting its corporate spirit of "Excellence, Innovation, Integrity, and Dedication," riding the wave of reform to forge ahead with determination.

The group possesses robust capabilities across the entire construction industrial chain, encompassing investment, construction, and operations. With a registered capital of 40 billion CNY, total assets of approximately 220 billion CNY, and net assets of approximately 66 billion CNY, the group boasts an annual construction capacity exceeding 300 billion CNY. Its annual business scale, completed output value, and operating revenue all exceed 100 billion CNY. Currently, the group owns seven subsidiaries with Class A (Special Grade) general contracting qualifications and multiple subsidiaries with Class 1 general contracting qualifications. It employs over 40,000 registered staff members, including 51 PhDs and 2,300 master's degree holders. Its operations span the entire country, with companies or project offices established in more than 50 countries and regions across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Oceania. The company has been consistently ranked among the "Top 500 Chinese Enterprises, " the "ENR Top 250 International Contractors," and the "Top 60 Chinese Contractors and Engineering Design Firms." It is the first provincial-level construction enterprise in Hunan Province to receive the "Governor's Quality Award" and has been honored with titles such as the "National May 1st Labor Medal," "National Outstanding Construction Enterprise," and "National Advanced Collective for Construction Science and Technology Progress."

Pioneering Innovation, Technological Leadership

The company operates China's only innovation base for prefabricated construction technology and has been approved to establish research platforms such as a National Postdoctoral Research Station. The Aizhai Bridge in western Hunan exemplifies the highest standards of design and construction in China, setting four "world firsts." It was praised by General Secretary Xi Jinping as "China's Full Moon," and the "cable-sliding method" used in its construction is internationally recognized as the "fourth bridge-building method." Focusing on three key areas—intelligent construction, new forms of building industrialization, and the construction industry internet—the company established "Zhongxiang Intelligent Construction Co., Ltd.," Hunan's first intelligent construction enterprise in the building sector. Embracing the philosophy of "building houses like manufacturing cars," the company has developed "golden scale armor" steel-structured modular buildings. In collaboration with the Hunan Branch of China Construction Bank, it has developed the "Yijiangtong" professional labor service platform to address the disconnect between real-name labor management and wage disbursement, thereby safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of migrant workers.

Quality-driven Excellence, Meticulous Craftsmanship

The company has constructed or participated in the construction of landmark projects both domestically and internationally, including the Aizhai Bridge, the West Ring Line of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway, the Pingjiang-Yiyang Expressway, the Changsha Helong Gymnasium, the Changsha Huanghua International Airport, the Hunan Museum, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and the Senegal Wrestling Arena. Over 1,000 projects have been honored with the Luban Award, Zhan Tianyou Award, Gustav Lindenthal Medal, and the GRAA International Road Achievement Award, among others. The company has cumulatively received more than 1,600 national and provincial-level awards for design, construction, and scientific and technological achievements. These include one first prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Award, ten second prizes in the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and 135 Luban Awards—China's highest honor for construction engineering. The firm has led or participated in the construction of over 90% of Hunan Province's key transportation and water conservancy projects, including the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau National Trunk Highway, the Aiizhai Bridge in western Hunan, and the Changsha Xianing Port. The Hunan Liling-Xiangtan Expressway, Guangxi Chongzuo-Jingxi Expressway, Fujian Shaowu-Guangze Expressway, and the Pingjiang-Yiyang Expressway—the provincial largest BOT project—have established new models, standards, and benchmarks for major project development.

Taking on Responsibilities and Contributing to the Society

The group has fulfilled the economic, political, and social responsibilities of a state-owned enterprise, successfully completing the construction of nearly six million square meters for Hunan Province's poverty alleviation relocation project, and being honored as a "National Advanced Collective in the Fight Against Poverty." Implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's directives on building well-off villages along the border, the group successfully completed the construction of the Yumai Border Well-off Village in Xizang. It also assisted in the construction of a competitive wrestling arena in Senegal, where President Xi Jinping personally handed over the project's "golden key" to the President of Senegal, establishing a new symbol of China-Senegal friendship. Furthermore, the group fully demonstrated the social responsibility of a state-owned enterprise through its efforts in earthquake relief in Wenchuan, targeted poverty alleviation, rural revitalization, de-icing and traffic maintenance, water rescue operations, and COVID-19 prevention and control.
