Mayang is an ideal place for kiwifruit planting, with its favorable climate and plentiful water resources. Mayang kiwifruit is known for its standard shape, refreshing sweet taste, and rich nutrition. In 2025, the kiwifruit planting area around the county reached 20,000 mu (1,334 hectares), producing 22,500 tonnes of kiwifruit with an output value of 352 million CNY, a 1.7% increase year on year.

After passing the customs inspection and quarantine procedures, 13.6 tonnes of kiwifruit produced in Mayang Miao Autonomous County was delivered to Malaysia on October 24, 2025. Hence Mayang kiwifruit has successfully entered new international markets.
  
In recent years, high-standard and large-scale production management methods as well as advanced techniques such as biological pest control and organic fertilization have been applied, which have significantly enhanced the quality of Mayang kiwifruit.
