The 13th World Famous Flowers Eco-cultural Festival, also the 17th Cherry Blossom Festival, kicked off at the garden on March 14. The festival will run until May 5. Visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms, peach blossoms, azaleas, and tulips during the period.

The 2021 Hunan Canola Flower Festival was inaugurated in Suoshi Town, Shuangfeng County, on March 16. The opening ceremony was held in four sub-venues – Hengyang’s Hengyang County, Shaoyang’s Wugang City, Changde’s Dingcheng District, and Xiangtan’s Shaoshan City, simultaneously.

Crowds of visitors are attracted to appreciate blooming canola flowers. It will last till April 10.

Recently, 50,000 tulips at the garden have entered blooming season. The scenery is like a colorful oil painting. The tulip- and azalea-themed Changsha Spring Flower Exhibition and the 5th Azalea Tourism Cultural Festival will be held at the garden between March 20 and April 20.

There are more than 500 plum trees of 10 varieties in the 20,000-sqm Plum Garden of Orange Isle.

Dongkan Village is in northeast Yongshun County about 16 km from downtown.

The park has more than one million cherry blossom trees of ten varieties which covering 5,360 mu (357 ha.).

The park has nearly 300 cherry blossom trees in the park. Most are along Tongpeng Lake, Yubi Square, and in the Hanle Area.

The Plum Blossom and Camellia Flower Show, which is part of the Hunan Flower Culture Festival, is held at the garden from February 2 to March 8. Presently cherry blossoms have begun flowering and the Yoshino cherry will be in blossom in mid-March.
