The Engine and Vehicle Technical Improvement Project of GAC Mitsubishi Motors Co., Ltd. (GMMC) was launched on the morning of March 29, 2017. Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe announced the start of the project.

Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Yi Lianhong addressed the opening ceremony, and Vice Governor Zhang Jianfei and Chairman of Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC Group), Zeng Qinghong attended the ceremony.

At the end of February this year, Hunan delegation led by Xu Dazhe visited GAC Group. During his inspection tour, Xu said that Hunan will create a good environment and provide quality services to support GAC Group’s development in Hunan.

The project will cover an area of 21.6 hectares and have an annual production capacity of 150,000 units in its first phase. By February this year, GMMC had produced 241,000 cars and sold 236,000 since its establishment in 2012, generating an industrial value of 33.9 billion yuan and paying 4.5 billion yuan in tax revenues.
