Symposium Held for Foreign-invested Enterprises in Hunan

A Symposium for Foreign-invested Enterprises of Hunan Province was held on the afternoon of Jan. 10, 2017. The symposium aimed to better support foreign-invested enterprises’ development in Hunan and help them to be more competitive. Vice Governor of Hunan Province He Baoxiang attended the event.

20 enterprise representatives from Lens Technology, Wal-Mart, Foxconn, Volkswagen, and more shared their experiences and reported their achievements gained in the process of seeking development in Hunan, and proposed valuable advice to develop open economy in Hunan.

Xu Xiangping, director with the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, said Hunan will issue a series of preferential policies to attract investment, accelerate investment management system reform, and lower the entry barrier for foreign investors who engage in such industries as service, manufacturing, and mining. The province will promote the orderly opening of other fields including telecommunication, internet, culture, education, transportation, and infrastructure. Meanwhile, five special projects will be launched soon to support the strategy of the rise of Hunan via opening up, including introducing ten thousand investors to Hunan, Hunan products selling abroad, Hunan enterprises going global, developing ports, and transforming and upgrading industrial parks.
