21 Projects Signed at 2017 Hunan-Hong Kong Annual Trade & Investment Conference

A meeting attended by Hunan Government leaders, and Hong Kong industrial and commercial leaders, was held at Renaissance Harbour View Hotel, Hong Kong on April 25. It was one of the events of 2017 Hunan-Hong Kong Annual Trade & Investment Conference.

The leaders are Tan Tieniu, deputy director of the Central Government's Liaison Office in the Hong Kong SAR, and Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan. Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe, vice governors He Baoxiang and Xiang Lili, and Secretary General Wang Qun.

At the meeting, 10 heads from Hong Kong chambers of commerce and important enterprises made their views on further deepening exchanges and cooperation with Hunan, and offered advice and suggestions on the building of a prosperous, beautiful, happy and new Hunan.

One strategic agreement and 21 projects with a contracted investment of 123.5 billion yuan were signed. Of the projects, 12 with a contracted investment of 63.8 billion yuan are related to manufacturing industry; 11 with a total investment of over 5 billion yuan for each secure a contracted investment of 105.2 billion yuan.

Projects include:
Evergrande Group, one of the world's top 500 companies, will invest a 20-billion-yuan health regimen project in Zhuzhou.

Twenty billion yuan invested on overall smart home industrial transfer project undertaken by Guiyang County; ten billion yuan on sci-tech industrial park for annual output of 5-million-ton in compound fertilizer and soil restoration and treatment in Shimen County; eight billion yuan on 8-inch integrated circuit board project in Xiangtan Economic and Technological Development Zone; and four billion yuan on intelligent manufacturing (industry 4.0) relating to construction of industrial small towns in Shaoyang.
