Hunan, Northern Cape Intensify Cooperative Development

Friendly Cooperation Agreement between Hunan Province of the People’s Republic of China and Northern Cape Province of the Republic of South Africa is signed on site.

 

Vice Governor Zhang Jianfei met with a visiting South African delegation led by Ms. Sylvia Lucas, premier of Northern Cape Province on June 29, 2016. Both sides signed a Friendly Cooperation Agreement between Hunan Province of the People’s Republic of China and Northern Cape Province of the Republic of South Africa after the meeting.

 

Zhang introduced that Hunan Province boasted profound history, colorful culture, and great sci-tech achievements. In specific, the supercomputer Tianhe-2 has topped the list of the 500 most powerful supercomputers in the world for six times. Hunan also boasts China's first domestically designed and manufactured magnetic levitation line. The province is willing to continue cooperating with Northern Cape in such fields as infrastructure construction and mineral resources exploration to realize win-win results, he added.

 

“Hunan has impressed me a lot during my visit to Changsha, and I’m getting to know the province more.” Ms. Lucas said, adding that both sides have great cooperative potential in infrastructure construction.

 

Hunan and Northern Cape then signed a Friendly Cooperation Agreement between Hunan Province of the People’s Republic of China and Northern Cape Province of the Republic of South Africa. Both sides will extend various collaborations in trade and commerce, agriculture, culture, and tourism sectors in the future, and make cooperative intent on related projects and communication agreement based on the Agreement.
