Hunan, China Post to Strengthen Cooperation

Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Acting Governor of Hunan Province Xu Dazhe met in Changsha with Li Guohua, general manager and Party group secretary of the China Post Group on the morning of Nov. 30, 2016. Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor of Hunan Province Chen Xiangqun also attended the meeting.

Xu believed that the China Post Group has played a unique role in basic postal services for long, contributing a great deal to Hunan’s economic and social development. Based on the blueprint of building a prosperous, beautiful, and happy new Hunan as depicted at the 11th CPC Hunan Provincial Congress, the province is now implementing the strategies of innovation-oriented development and the rise of Hunan via opening up to elevate quality and efficiency of economic development. The province sincerely expected that the China Post Group would accelerate construction of a comprehensive service platform for the people’s convenience, explore the new targeted rural poverty alleviation model, promote financial services innovation, and vigorously develop the express and logistics industry, to make greater contributions to the economic and social advancement of Hunan Province. We will continue to provide favorable environment and sound services to aid the China Post Group’s expansion in Hunan, Xu added.

Li thanked the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Hunan Province for their long-term support to the China Post Group. He promised to give full play to its advantages in serving the “three rural issues” of agriculture, rural areas, and farmers, pushing forward the development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, and carrying on poverty alleviation tasks, so as to further enhance cooperation with Hunan in such fields as finance, logistics, warehousing, and cross-border e-commerce.
