Hunan E-commerce Trading Volume 10th in China

Recently, the China e-Business Research Center issued the 2013 Annual China E-commerce Market Data Monitoring Report. According to the statistics, e-commerce of China soared to 10.2 trillion yuan in 2013, growing by 29.9 percent from 8.5 trillion yuan a year earlier.

Last year, business-to-business (B2B), accounting for 80.4 percent of e-commerce, was up 31.2 percent year on year, to 8.2 trillion yuan. The online retail sales, with a ratio of 17.6 percent, which include business-to-consumer (B2C) and consumer-to-consumer (C2C), rose by 42.8 percent to 1.8851 trillion yuan. Online group purchase accounted for 0.6 percent while others 1.4 percent.

Guangdong, Jiangsu, Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Shandong, Hubei, Fujian, Sichuan and Hunan ranked the top ten among all provincial-level regions with the largest number of firms engaged in e-commerce.
