Hand-woven Skills Training Offered to Poverty-stricken People

The photo taken on September 9 shows visitors choose hand-woven flowers at Bantang Village, Simenqian Town, Longhui County. Bantang is a national poverty-stricken village. In 2014, it had an annual per capita income of less than 1,600 yuan and 254 people from 67 households living under the poverty line. In 2015, Hunan Women’s Federation Poverty Alleviation Team established a hand woven association in the village, and organized experienced artisans to train local women. Now, its annual per capita income is up to 4,600 and 136 people from 40 households get rid of poverty. (Photo/Xu Xing)
