Hunan Delegation Visits Russia, Poland, and Hungary to Enhance Cooperation

Hunan delegation headed by Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor of Hunan Province Chen Xiangqun visited Russia, Poland, and Hungary from July 17 to 26, 2016.
The delegation attended the first session of the international committee on cooperation among the federal regions along the Volga River and the areas along the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and witnessed inauguration and signing ceremony of related cooperation projects. Hunan and the regions along the Volga River have multiple fruitful communication and collaboration in such sectors as economy and trade, science and technology, tourism, education, and culture in recent years. The delegation also signed cooperation agreement on education and sports with Ulyanovsk State of Russia this time.
Hunan delegation was present at the infrastructure construction & economic and trade cooperation seminar held in Poland, and signed a letter of intent on establishing friendly partnership with Lower Silesia Province later on. Both sides further discussed the implementation of Hunan’s projects in Poland and the housing industrialization cooperation with the Poland Government.
A letter of intent on establishing friendly ties between Hunan Province and the Somogy Megye was signed during the delegation’s stay in Hungary. Both sides also reached various cooperation consensuses in the fields of trade, finance, modern agriculture, tourism, and education.
