CAPF Assists Hunan in Flood Prevention and Control

Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress Xu Shousheng and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Governor of Hunan Province Du Jiahao met in Changsha with General Commander of Chinese Armed Police Force (CAPF) Wang Ning and his retinue on the evening of July 25, 2016. They came all the way to instruct flood prevention and control in Hunan.
 
Secretary Xu, on behalf of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the People’s Government of Hunan Province, and all people in Hunan, thanked the CAPF for their outstanding contributions in flood prevention and control, and long-term support to the economic and social development of Hunan Province. The province is still in the major flood season and further priority has been given to flood prevention and control according to the decisions and plans made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, he said, adding that Hunan has get well prepared for major floods and better emergency response and relief efforts. We sincerely expected the CAPF to keep supporting Hunan to achieve a resounding victory in the fight against flood, he added.
 
Wang remarked that, under the firm leadership of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, with well organization, proper instruction, prompt deployment, and resolute decision, Hunan Province has achieved success in flood prevention and control at different stages in the past. The CAPF will strongly implement the important instructions of President Xi Jinping, stick to the post during the whole flood season, fight against the flood anywhere anytime, until a sweeping victory is accomplished.
