Shuilian Cave

Situated at the foot of Zizai Peak, Shuilian Cave is also known as Zhuling Cave. Legend has it that the cave was the residence of Emperor Zhuling. A deep pool at the bottom of the Flying Waterfall in Shuilian Cave, called Throwing Dragon Pool, presents tourists with many inscriptions by well-known figures of Tang and Song Dynasties on the rocks around the pond. The place becomes one of the best-preserved stone carvings sites in Mount Hengshan.
