The Changsha Museum of Art, also known as Changsha Culture and Art Exhibition Center, is formerly located at the former site of the CPC Hunan Area Committee (a key cultural relic protection unit of Hunan Province) by the Qingshui Pond at No. 538, Bayi Road, Changsha. Its current location is Xiangjiang Yihao, Xiangjiang North Road, on the riverside of the Xiangjiang River.
It is a public welfare cultural institution subordinate to the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television. It mainly collects, researches, and displays fine works of modern and contemporary Hunan-born artists and those having important art activities in Hunan, as well as works by master calligraphers and painters.
The museum was officially registered and established in December 2015. Its first curator was Mr. Tan Guobin, a renowned art collector and curator.

How to get there
-Take bus No. 36, 382, 408, or W176, and get off at Yuanjiahu Station [袁家湖站]; or,
-Take Changsha Metro Line 1, get off at the Kaifu District Government Station, exit the subway station from Exit 4, take bus No. 36 or 408, and get off at Yuanjiahu Station [袁家湖站].
