First Tourism Development Conference of Hunan Province

The first Tourism Development Conference of Hunan Province will take place in Zhangjiajie City between November 19 and 20, according to the organizing committee of the conference on November 16.

The conference is hosted by the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Hunan Provincial People's Government, undertaken by the CPC Zhangjiajie Municipal Committee, the Zhangjiajie Municipal People's Government and the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and organized by members of the organizing committee.

Three major events will be held, including the opening ceremony and a cultural tourism promotion conference; cultural tourism projects observation; and, a promotion conference on the development of tourism industry of Hunan Province. Three supporting activities will be arranged, including the 2022 China Tourism Summit; the first Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo; and, an investment and financing conference on the cultural tourism industry of Hunan Province.

Holding the conference is a concrete step to study and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and promote integrated development of culture and tourism, and an essential measure to implement the positioning, missions, and tasks of the "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" Strategy and develop Hunan into a global tourist destination. The conference highlights the vision of "making the host city thrive by holding the conference". It aims to play an exemplary role in exploring new paths to advance cultural tourism development while coordinating epidemic prevention and control, and promote high-quality development of Hunan's cultural tourism industry, economy and society.

The opening ceremony of the conference and the cultural tourism promotion conference will be broadcast live on Hunan Satellite TV, Mango TV, and social media platforms.
